Mammostrat is now available exclusively in the US through AmeriPath's Molecular Profiling Institute (MPI). For online information about ordering Mammostrat and additional supplemental information, please see www.molecularprofiling.com.

Mammostrat testing is performed on samples submitted as a paraffin block or eight unstained slides. MPI has prepared a Mammostrat specimen transport kit to facilitate shipping of slides or blocks and to ensure the safe arrival of patient samples.
Physicians who wish to order Mammostrat and who are part of the AmeriPath Network should contact their local AmeriPath Territory Manager or local AmeriPath practice. All non-AmeriPath physicians should call MPI directly to order the test and have a specimen transport kit shipped to you.
Each specimen sent for Mammostrat testing will be stained with the Mammostrat antibodies and a board-certified pathologist will score the staining in accordance with the published Mammostrat criteria. A Mammostrat report will be sent to the ordering physician. This report will contain the staining results for each antibody, the patient's calculated Risk Index classification, and an interpretation of their classification in the context of existing clinical data. If a paraffin block is submitted for the test, it will be returned.
Currently, physicians located outside of United States who would like to order Mammostrat testing should contact MPI directly. AGI is currently identifying potential partners outside the US to improve the availability of the test for patients worldwide. |
