Rob Seitz, is Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Applied Genomics. Mr. Seitz founded the antibody department at Research Genetics and had been its director for the past eight years before founding AGI. Mr. Seitz has extensive expertise in creating and marketing an antibody business and related services. As director of the antibody department, he managed numerous collaborations with both academic and pharmaceutical development teams. Mr. Seitz has a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of South Alabama and a M. Div. degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Douglas Ross, MD, PhD is Chief Scientific Officer and co-founder of Applied Genomics. Dr. Ross was a postdoctoral fellow with Patrick O. Brown and David Botstein at Stanford University. He was instrumental in the initiation and scale-up of the Stanford human microarray project, and for developing strategies for large-scale analysis of gene expression in human cancer. Dr. Ross obtained his M.D. and his Ph.D. in Pathology from the University of Washington while studying at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle, WA. He completed two years of Clinical Pathology training including serving as Chief Resident at the University of California at San Francisco before joining the microarray project at Stanford University in 1996.

Jessica Smith, PhD is the VP of Business Development of the company. Dr. Smith is a former licensing associate from the Office of Technology Licensing (OTL) at Stanford. She has had extensive negotiating experience in the biotechnology field and has worked with many biotech startups as a representative of Stanford University. Prior to working at OTL, Dr. Smith worked at Alza Pharmaceuticals, Inc. She has a B.S. in Zoology from Duke University and a Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from Stanford University.
